Christmas 4 Kids

A comprehensive middle school education in Glendora is not only focused on building the academic framework needed to be successful in high school, but also providing opportunities for our students to begin to understand civility, compassion, and what it means to be a healthy and positive participant in our community.

Every year in December, Sandburg Middle School students join together to donate money to purchase gifts for the pediatric patients at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte. Our students shop, wrap, and deliver presents for  young patients with the donations collected from students and staff.  These patients spend their holiday in the hospital meeting the challenges of living with cancer.

Christmas 4 Kids has been a Sandburg tradition for nearly 30 years and will continue to be the season’s highlight for everyone involved for many years to come.  We are incredibly proud of this tradition as we are the only school allowed to provide this heartwarming service to the pediatric patients at the City of Hope.
