During distance learning, the Sandburg Library will be offering curbside checkout!

Pick-up and drop-off will be every Wednesday from 12:00 - 2:00.  Watch the tutorial below to get started!

Please note that there is a four book maximum for curbside checkout.

Library Overdue Policy (for in-person learning)

Do you have library books out?  Don't forget to return or renew them!  You can check to see what books you have out and when they are due back by going to the Library Catalog.

Library books are checked out for 2 weeks at a time. Students are sent courtesy reminders if their book becomes overdue.  After 3 reminders to return or renew their book, students will be given a 15 minute detention in the library.  Repeat offenders will be referred to administration for further disciplinary action.

Do you have an iPod, iPad, Kindle, Nook, Android or other type of mobile device that you use to read eBooks? Here are some places to look for free eBook downloads. Some are available for checkout only, just like a regular library books while others can be downloaded to your device and are available until you delete them.

  • Project Gutenberg has over 39,000 free ebooks that can be downloaded. Many of these same books are available for free at Amazon’s Kindle store so students can check there, too.

  • Open Library borrowers can check out up to 5 books at a time. Some must be read on a computer, but there is an app (Blue Fire Reader) that can be downloaded to iOS and Android devices so that they can be read on them as well.

  • Overdrive Both Glendora and Charter Oak libraries have subscriptions to Overdrive. All that is needed is a library card. Overdrive also has audiobooks!
